KSUT\u2019s Four Corners Public Radio service was restored Tuesday afternoon after the station had a brief hiatus from the airwaves, said Tami Graham, KSUT\u2019s executive director. KSUT will broadcast in Montezuma County at the 106.3 FM signal.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be back,\u201d Graham said Wednesday. \u201cWe want to thank all our listeners for their patience.\u201d<\/p>\n
The station\u2019s lease with the Southwest Colorado Television Translator Association was terminated July 8, taking KSUT off the former signals in Cortez and Dolores at 100.1 FM and 91.9 FM.<\/p>\n
KSUT set up a new tower with a different antenna on Caviness Mountain in eastern Montezuma County, Graham said. The signal is stronger and clearer than the former frequencies, broadcasting in Mancos and Cortez and all the way to Dove Creek, she said.<\/p>\n
The 106.3 frequency won\u2019t broadcast to Dolores, though, Graham said. KSUT is seeking for a way to re-establish a signal there, she said. Hopefully KSUT will be back on the air in Dolores in the next few weeks, she said.<\/p>\n
Graham took over as KSUT\u2019s executive director on July 18. She replaced Sheila Nanaeto, who had served as interim executive director since Feb. 10, 2016.<\/p>\n
Four Corners Public Radio also serves communities including Durango, Silverton, Cortez and Pagosa Springs; Aztec, Bloomfield and Farmington, New Mexico; Bluff, Utah; and northeast Arizona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
