Durango bands Carute Roma, Six Dollar String Band and The Great Contention will provide entertainment this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have three great bands lined up,\u201d said Sarah Syverson, interim director of School to Farm. \u201cIt\u2019s really a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tickets will be $20 for adults and free for kids 17 and under.<\/p>\n<p>Carute Roma play classic \u201cRoma\u201d music and original songs that feature fiddle, accordion and trumpet, according to their website. The Six Dollar String band plays \u201cold time\u201d music that features banjo, fiddle and guitar, according to their Facebook page. The Great Contention play original songs as well as traditional bluegrass and Americana music, according to their website.<\/p>\n<p>The hoedown will feature lots of local food catered by Sweetwater Gypsies of Dolores, Syverson said. Tucson Tamales will donate a variety of tamales, and local breweries and wineries will be pouring drinks, she said.<\/p>\n<p>A silent auction also will take place at the Hoedown, with farm and homestead items available, Syverson said.<\/p>\n<p>The hoedown will be especially important for School to Farm this year because of the group\u2019s financial situation, Syverson said. The program took some financial hits last year and was unable to develop strong funding streams.
