Sligo St.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Sam Green\/The Journal<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Financial adviser Andrew Cuckie has opened Edward Jones in Cortez, providing the city with \u201cholistic\u201d planning services, he said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe work as a team to help our clients meet their goals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cuckie opened his office at 111 S. Sligo St. in Cortez on Dec. 23. He had been in a different office since 2014, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Edward Jones is a full-service brokerage firm that provides a full scope of financial planning, beyond just investments, Cuckie said. The company helps people grow and protect their assets, and their family members\u2019 assets, he said.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a good time for the financial industry, Cuckie said. Some recent regulations have affected retirement accounts, so he has been working hard to meet with his clients and show how that will affect them, he said.<\/p>\n<p>One specialty Cuckie has developed is offering investments that aren\u2019t extremely risky but still grow at a good rate, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cuckie makes an effort to meet face-to-face with his clients, he said.
