Epps was driving a 2013 Ford Escape and collided with a 2016 Kenworth, driven by a man from Tennessee, said CSP Capt. Adrian Driscoll. There were no passengers, and the road was icy at the time, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Epps was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital, and airlifted to Farmington. She was in critical condition, Driscoll said.<\/p>\n<p>Epps hit a patch of ice while coming off County Road 40 and slid onto the highway into the semitrailer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s path, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caringbridge.org\/visit\/cathyepps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">page on the website CaringBridge<\/a>. The car passed under the semi.
