KTM\u2019s Marvin Musquin, the Frenchman who raced to his first 450SX Class victory last week in Arlington, Texas, was second at U.S. Bank Stadium. Minnesota native Ryan Dungey finished third on a KTM. Dungey leads the season standings, 16 points ahead of Musquin and 24 in front of Tomac.<\/p>\n

Racing on a notoriously tough track, Tomac exited the first corner in second and passed Rocky Mountain ATV\/MC\u2019s Davi Millsaps on the second lap.<\/p>\n

Dungey followed Tomac into second and stayed with him as the two leaders increased their lead over the rest of the pack.<\/p>\n

But as the race continued and the leaders began to pass racers at the back of the field, Tomac\u2019s passing skills gave him a wider lead over Dungey, who was then passed by Musquin. Tomac continued in front, eventually winning 6.7 seconds ahead of Musquin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a really tough race tonight, Tomac said afterward. \u201cThe track had a lot of crazy lines and was really tough. I\u2019m glad to get back on our feet after last week and get back to where we were the weeks before that. This was the toughest race of the season so far.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tomac crashed the previous Saturday in Arlington, Texas, after pushing to the front from far back in the field. On Saturday, Feb. 4, he won in Oakland, California, and on Jan. 28, he won in Glendale, Arizona.<\/p>\n

Ken Roczen, the Honda rider who won the first two races of the season, is sidelined with wrist and arm injuries sustained in a crash.<\/p>\n

Kawasaki\u2019s Joey Savatgy won the opening race in the Eastern Regional 250SK season. KTM\u2019s Jordan Smith was second, and Husqvarna\u2019s Zach Osborne finished third.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
