Hymn For Her will play their eclectic folk show at the Dolores River Brewery on Friday,.<\/p>\n

Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing are Hymn For Her, a rockin\u2019 duo that hails from anywhere they can park their 16-foot, 1961 vintage Bambi Airstream (comes with dog and baby) as they tour the U.S. coast to coast.<\/p>\n

They describe their music as \u201cstomp-grass punk folk with a hint of Americana.\u201d Tight plays a three-stringed broom handle\/cigar box guitar, banjo and sometimes even a glockenspiel. She shares vocal duties with Waxing, who also plays acoustic guitar, banjo, dobro, and\/or harmonica all while handling percussion on bass drum and hi-hat. Bullet microphones and an arsenal of effect pedals give this band a sound like no other. The show is enhanced by a slide show of original photos projected on an old-fashioned slide projector.<\/p>\n

Wherever they play, this duo wins over the audience with a live show that sometimes might include a Led Zeppelin or other classic tune given the Hymn For Her twist.<\/p>\n

While there are only two musicians in the band, they bring a big sound,\u201d says music magazine The Spectrum. \u201cMeanwhile, Tight is singing and creating otherworldly slide guitar sounds with the modified cigar box.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hymn For Her\u2019s tour promotes their latest release, \u201cLucy & Wayne\u2019s Smokin\u2019 Flames.\u201d Along the way, they sell their new hot sauce.<\/p>\n
