About 3:30 p.m., a 2008 Dodge hatchback rolled over near mile marker 65 on U.S. 160 about 3 miles east of Mancos Hill, according to Lewis. The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man from Cortez, and a passenger were transported to Mercy, Lewis said. He did not provide details of their identification or injuries.<\/p>\n
Though a cause of the crash had not been determined, roads were slick at the time of the crash, Lewis said. No drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash.<\/p>\n
Only one vehicle was involved in the crash, and a tow truck was called fairly quickly, Lewis said. Crews cleared the scene by about 5:30 p.m., he said.<\/p>\n
Two other crashes occurred nearby shortly after that incident, Lewis said Thursday. A Colorado Department of Transportation truck crashed into a guardrail about 3:42 p.m. at mile marker 67.
