{"id":67158,"date":"2017-02-01T23:12:26","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T06:12:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/nine-sentenced-in-cortez-for-driving-offenses\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T06:12:26","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T06:12:26","slug":"nine-sentenced-in-cortez-for-driving-offenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/nine-sentenced-in-cortez-for-driving-offenses\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine sentenced in Cortez for driving offenses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=7265be21-069e-40e4-8c25-1b281a25f926&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"1200\" height=\"783\" alt=\"\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Nine people were sentenced Tuesday in Montezuma County Court in connection with alcohol-related driving convictions.<\/p>\n<p>Judge James Denvir, a retired judge from Archuleta County, was presiding in place of Judge JenniLynn Lawrence, who was at a judicial training convention.<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet\">Carwin Wauneka was sentenced to 60 days in jail for a third driving under the influence offense.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet\">Jolene Cantsee also was sentenced to 60 days in jail on work release for a third alcohol-related driving offense, as well as two years of probation.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet\">Wendy Ferguson was sentenced to 60 days in jail on work release in connection with a third DUI offense.
