The farm also raises poultry, selling pastured chicken, ground turkey and eggs.<\/p>\n<p>The byproduct of the goats and chickens is then used to grow the rest of the farm\u2019s stock \u2013 it\u2019s produce, which never touches manmade fertilizer or insecticide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do all of our own soil amendments from our own animals, both our goats and our chickens,\u201d McCollaum said. \u201cWe use our own manure to amend our soil to make it more productive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farm is located just outside of Aztec, he said. \u201cPeople typically frown upon having a herd of goats inside city limits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCollaum said the farm has a simple mission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re trying to exemplify the microfarming idea: small batches of high quality product produced locally to be consumed locally,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to do our best to create a positive impact.
