FARMINGTON \u2013 Two men were arrested for child solicitation last week, according to a news release from the San Juan County Sheriff\u2019s Office. The incidents, which were not connected, both involved child solicitation of a 12-year-old child online and attempts to meet the child.<\/p>\n

Adrian Chee, 25, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child solicitation of a child under 13 years old, a felony. Rikki Harrison, 27, was arrested two days later, also on suspicion of child solicitation.<\/p>\n

The two men were arrested through an undercover sting and arranged to meet a child at a planned location, according to Jayme Harcrow, spokeswoman from the San Juan County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Harcrow said there have been eight different men arrested on similar charges in the last 11 months.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe San Juan County Sheriff\u2019s Office will continue to be aggressive in its approach to locate and arrest child predators in our community,\u201d her statement said.<\/p>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office encourages community members to report suspected child predators and suspicious activity to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at (800) THE-LOST (800-843-5678) or contact local dispatch at (505) 334-6622.<\/p>\n
