{"id":63838,"date":"2018-08-09T20:49:32","date_gmt":"2018-08-10T02:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/man-suspected-of-aiding-jail-escape-pleads-not-guilty\/"},"modified":"2018-08-10T02:49:32","modified_gmt":"2018-08-10T02:49:32","slug":"man-suspected-of-aiding-jail-escape-pleads-not-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/man-suspected-of-aiding-jail-escape-pleads-not-guilty\/","title":{"rendered":"Man suspected of aiding jail escape pleads not guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Antonio Kolessar, the man suspected of aiding an escape in April at a juvenile detention center in Durango, pleaded not guilty Thursday.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=b8a66f5e-33ae-4916-8ef7-11553a4e34d9&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1333\" alt=\"Kolessar\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Kolessar<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Kolessar, 21, is charged with five counts of aiding escape, a Class 3 felony, and one count of vehicular eluding. If convicted, he faces four to 12 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000 followed by a mandatory parole period of five years.<\/p>\n<p>A two-day jury trial is scheduled to begin Dec. 17.<\/p>\n<p>According to an arrest affidavit, Kolessar cut a hole in the chain-link fence surrounding the Robert E. DeNier Youth Services Center on April 27. Five men escaped through the hole and into a gray Hyundai Sonata driven by Kolessar.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was spotted in Pagosa Springs later that day.
