Racquel and her husband, Jayson Kain, have been gardening all their lives. They recently moved to the area from California to raise a family and get involved in local agriculture, especially the small-garden market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur family is from here, and we are so happy to be back in Cortez,\u201d Hunter said.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the supplies offered include organic bug control, mold and fungus solutions, lighting, nutrients, manure, and other soil amendments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe specialize in hydroponics,\u201d Hunter said.  \u201cThe advantage is it speeds up the plant\u2019s metabolism, which results in more fruit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Greenhouses and hydroponics allow for producing fruit year round, but there are a lot of tricks to the trade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLearn from the mistakes we have already made,\u201d Hunter says.<\/p>\n<p>Check out their website at www.highhopeshydroponics.com for more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Racquel Hunter and Jayson Kain have opened High Hopes Hydroponics in Cortez.
