Snow \u2013 yes, snow \u2013 is predicted to hit the high country of Southwest Colorado on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction says precipitation is expected to hit high elevations of the San Juan Mountains this afternoon. Around 7 p.m., that moisture is expected to turn into snow.<\/p>\n

The overnight low for Silverton is forecast to be 27 degrees. Only an inch of snow is expected to accumulate. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph.<\/p>\n

The incoming storm is expected to bring more moisture to central and northern Colorado. Vail, for instance, could receive up to 3 inches of snowfall.<\/p>\n

In Durango, no precipitation is expected, though the overnight low is expected to hit 32 degrees.<\/p>\n

Despite the recent moisture, a red-flag warning is in effect for Southwest Colorado until 8 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n

A freeze warning is also in effect from 10 p.m. Monday night to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning for Four Corners, the Upper Dolores River, the Animas River Basing and the San Juan River Basin.<\/p>\n

After Monday night, the NWS says no more precipitation is expected for the week.<\/p>\n
