But as businesses start to reopen, the Fiesta Theatre will begin screening films once more \u2014 although there won\u2019t be new movies out for a while.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere aren\u2019t any new movies yet, just because Hollywood\u2019s not letting anything out yet, but we are doing our best to get very good, fun titles to bring in, help you escape reality,\u201d said Amanda Sharp, marketing director of Allen Theatres, which operates theater sites in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado, including the Fiesta Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Restrictions will be in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Sharp added.<\/p>\n<p>The Fiesta Theatre closed mid-March and has appeared frozen in time since then, with the marquee outside continuing to advertise \u201cThe Call of the Wild\u201d and \u201cOnward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But this Friday, the Fiesta will open its doors and screen two popular movies: \u201cThe Avengers\u201d and \u201cThe Greatest Showman.\u201d Hours will remain the same, Sharp said, with the earliest showtime at 11:45 a.m. and the latest at 8:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re trying to keep the same schedule,\u201d she said. There will be four showtimes of \u201cThe Greatest Showman\u201d and three of \u201cThe Avengers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The movie theater will take some precautions to ensure social distancing and a sanitized space.<\/p>\n<p>When patrons purchase tickets, the theater will block off areas seats around their selected seats to space out viewers, although members of the same party will be permitted to sit together. For example, a family of four could side by side, but two empty seats would be blocked off on each side of the group, Sharp said.<\/p>\n<p>Disinfecting foggers are in place at all the Allen Theatres to sanitize surfaces and air, and social distancing markers in the lobby will keep patrons spread apart.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=49741f30-2723-441a-b36e-6559fee7da42&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" alt=\"The free summer kids movie series will also be able to resume, starting July 1 with &amp;#x201c;Dora and the Lost City of Gold.&amp;#x201d; They won&amp;#x2019;t be able to screen the movies that already passed, though.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">The free summer kids movie series will also be able to resume, starting July 1 with &amp;#x201c;Dora and the Lost City of Gold.&amp;#x201d; They won&amp;#x2019;t be able to screen the movies that already passed, though.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Erika Alvero\/The Journal<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>The summer kids program will resume as well, with free Wednesday screenings of children\u2019s movies at 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. through July.
