{"id":52795,"date":"2020-07-10T23:10:29","date_gmt":"2020-07-11T05:10:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/small-fire-burning-in-bear-creek-area-northeast-of-dolores\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T04:01:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T10:01:16","slug":"small-fire-burning-in-bear-creek-area-northeast-of-dolores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/small-fire-burning-in-bear-creek-area-northeast-of-dolores\/","title":{"rendered":"Small fire burning in Bear Creek area northeast of Dolores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!-- gallery:a61e1c33-4b0c-4897-9cfb-824d7f2d8160 --><\/p>\n<p>A small fire is burning between Dolores and Rico, just south of Colorado Highway 145 on San Juan National Forest property.<\/p>\n<p>Dubbed the Bear Creek 2 Fire, the blaze was first reported about 8 a.m. Friday and grew to 1\u00bd to 2 acres by 4 p.m., according to Dolores District Ranger Derek Padilla. Ground and air personnel from the U.S. Forest Service and from out of state have responded.<\/p>\n<p>The fire is in the Bear Creek area, and no structures have been threatened.
