Marshal Justen Goodall reminds residents to lock their cars and garages.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">The Journal file<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>In a small town, it can be easy to leave your door or car unlocked.<\/p>\n<p>But thefts of items inside cars have surged in Mancos in recent weeks, according to Mancos Marshal Justen Goodall.<\/p>\n<p>The items stolen were small, but Goodall is urging residents to lock their cars and avoid leaving keys or valuable items in their cars, especially overnight.<\/p>\n<p>The Marshal\u2019s Office is investigating the thefts, but \u201cwith small items it can be tough,\u201d Goodall said.<\/p>\n<p>The face of a radio was taken in an attempt to steal the entire car radio, as well as other small but valuable items that are \u201ceasy to grab,\u201d said Sgt.
