Bo Pizza &amp; Rib Co. will close for a few days after the owners learned one of their employees had come in contact with a person who had COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Owner Bo Maloney said he was alerted by San Juan Basin Public Health that an employee had outside contact with a person with COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The employee was tested and hadn\u2019t received results as of Friday, but out of an abundance of caution, Maloney decided to close the restaurant at 1301 Florida Road for a few days, starting Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just being ultra-safe with this,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant will take the opportunity with the closure to do a deep clean. Maloney said he hopes to reopen next week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just wanted to be proactive with everything and make sure everyone is safe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The African food-based Eat Zawadi also announced it would be closed until at least Oct. 16 after \u201cseveral key members were recently exposed to a COVID-positive individual on our staff,\u201d the restaurant said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis global pandemic has created a number of unusual challenges that require creativity, flexibility and patience from all of us,\u201d the statement said. \u201cWe are so grateful for your support and we look forward to returning to full-strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A handful of restaurants were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic this week.<\/p>\n<p>After one employee tested positive, <a href=\"https:\/\/durangoherald.com\/articles\/348679\">Steamworks Brewing Co. decided to close<\/a> until further notice.
