I was upset when Donald Trump said Biden had no law enforcement support, and I wanted to make clear that I support Biden,\u201d said La Plata County Sheriff Sean Smith. \u201cI don\u2019t like campaigning based on hate and divisiveness, and I\u2019m looking for us to go in a different direction. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bus carried yard signs, T-shirts, campaign buttons, stickers, window displays and other items for supporters to use as the party continues its get-out-the-vote efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters could also get their pictures taken with life-sized cutouts of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, a U.S. senator from California.<\/p>\n<p>The bus was headed to Grand Junction after the 1\u00bd-hour stop in Durango, with a planned stop in Silverton.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=964269fa-53ca-4779-811e-a1d1930bf41e&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" alt=\"Durango was the first stop on the Democratic Party&amp;#x2019;s &amp;#x201c;Soul of the Nation&amp;#x201d; bus tour of Colorado. Barbara McLachlan, said, \u201cIt\u2019s all part of our get-out-the-vote effort.
