Twenty percent of families surveyed by the Mancos School District indicated they do not have reliable internet access at home.<\/p>\n<p>Without internet access, many students will not be able to continue their education online if needed. To help bridge the gap, The town of Mancos is providing the wireless equipment and setup. FastTrack Communications, a subsidiary of the energy cooperatives La Plata Electric and Empire Electric Association, is providing a 100 mbps dedicated internet connection for the secure guest wireless network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re doing this at no cost.
