The flight will operate from June 3 to Aug. 16.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Jerry McBride\/Durango Herald file<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>American Airlines will introduce a seasonal daily nonstop flight between Los Angeles International Airport and Durango-La Plata County Airport in June 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican Airlines\u2019 decision to expand service at the Durango-La Plata County Airport highlights the resilience of our market and the enduring demand for air service in Southwest Colorado,\u201d DRO Aviation Direction Tony Vicari said.<\/p>\n<p>American will operate one daily nonstop flight between Durango and Los Angeles beginning June 3 through Aug. 16 on a 70-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>The flight will provide Southwest Colorado passengers direct access to Los Angeles and Southern California, as well as improved connections up and down the West Coast, Hawaii, Asia and Australia, Vicari said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis route, in addition to our existing service from Durango to Dallas-Ft.
