{"id":48290,"date":"2021-02-27T23:22:25","date_gmt":"2021-02-27T23:22:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/ute-mountain-casino-hotel-plans-to-reopen-march-3\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T09:42:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:42:05","slug":"ute-mountain-casino-hotel-plans-to-reopen-march-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/ute-mountain-casino-hotel-plans-to-reopen-march-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Ute Mountain Casino Hotel plans to reopen March 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=db529e15-d147-4200-bb78-bbabdaa8d033&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1115\" alt=\"The Ute Mountain Casino Hotel will reopen next week.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">The Ute Mountain Casino Hotel will reopen next week.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">The Journal file<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>The Ute Mountain Casino Hotel will reopen March 3 with a host of safety improvements against the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The casino and hotel <a href=\"https:\/\/the-journal.com\/articles\/195527\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temporarily closed<\/a> in December out of caution and to assist the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe in its efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>The casino plans to reopen at 35% capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Safety measures include the installation of plexiglass at registers and between gaming machines, additional hand sanitizing stations and enhanced cleaning procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Each table has plexiglass dividers, and masks must be worn by players and customers at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will be checked upon entry.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a limit of eight people inside the Mountain Rewards Club at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Casino hours will run from 8 a.m. to midnight.<\/p>\n<p>Bingo remains temporarily closed.<\/p>\n<p>The casino also will roll out a new sportsbook and showcase its newly remodeled Mountain Rewards Club.<\/p>\n<p>As part of a phased reopening plan, Kuchu\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Restaurant will open March 10.
