Wanderful Wheels is one of six startup and young companies chosen to participate in the Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program Class of 2021.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Courtesy of SCAPE<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Six companies \u2013 including participants from the outdoor recreation, technology, transportation and material-manufacturing industries \u2013 have been selected for Durango\u2019s business accelerator program.<\/p>\n<p>More than 50 entrepreneurs across the Four Corners applied to be among the six selected for the Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs 2021 class, the organization said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The participating companies are located in Durango, Rico and SCAPE\u2019s new territory, northern New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Since SCAPE\u2019s first class in 2013, it has launched 36 companies, which have raised more than $25 million in capital and helped create 152 regional jobs.<\/p>\n<p>SCAPE\u2019s mission is to support the expansion of job-producing companies in the Four Corners by providing mentoring and access to funding.<\/p>\n<p>After having to pivot because of COVID-19 in 2020, SCAPE was able to mentor, support and graduate its 2020 class virtually through Zoom, while also hosting its Annual Startup Showcase online.<\/p>\n<p>In part because of its remote sessions, SCAPE has been able to further support companies across the Four Corners including the addition of northern New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s class will be the eighth group of business startups and young companies based in the Four Corners to go through the accelerator program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so inspired by the interest in entrepreneurship right now and were blown away with 50 applications across the Four Corners,\u201d said SCAPE Executive Director Elizabeth Marsh. \u201cIt\u2019s clear to us that now more than ever entrepreneurs need support in shining a light on their big idea. We look forward to working with this new class and supporting our applicants through our networks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The selected members of the 2021 SCAPE class are:<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet\">Analytical Technologies Inc.: A firm from Farmington that provides computer board repair services for the oil and gas industry and makes micro-power systems including solar charging stations.
