Authorities are asking for the public\u2019s help in locating an 18-year-old La Plata County man who has been missing for two months.<\/p>\n

Luke Starling walked away from the back deck of his home on Panorama Drive in the Rafter J subdivision southwest of Durango about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 6 and has not been seen since, said La Plata County Sheriff\u2019s Office spokesman Chris Burke.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not like him, according to those that know him, to just walk away like this,\u201d Burke said.<\/p>\n

Immediately after Starling went missing, authorities conducted a search in the area. Another search was conducted in late February along with the La Plata County Search and Rescue team, a K-9 unit and a drone.<\/p>\n

Both searches turned up no evidence, Burke said. Foul play is not suspected, he said.<\/p>\n

Starling also reportedly left his wallet at home, so investigators can\u2019t track any possible credit card activity. Investigators have also found nothing in Starling\u2019s phone records.<\/p>\n

It remains unclear why Starling left his home, Burke said. His roommates told investigators they checked on Starling that day and nothing appeared wrong.<\/p>\n

Starling was working two jobs at local restaurants. Burke said Starling has family ties to Arizona and California, and no family member has no knowledge of Starling\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Starling is described as Native American, 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his right wrist and scars on both left and right arms. He was last seen wearing a blue and brown-checkered shirt, black jeans and black shoes.<\/p>\n

Burke said Starling is listed as a missing person in the nationwide database. Anyone with information about Starling\u2019s whereabouts is asked to call 382-7018.<\/p>\n
