The repairs will be made near high-voltage conductors so the substation must be de-energized to allow the work to be done in a safe manner.<\/p>\n<p>Phone calls will be made to all impacted services April 29. Outage preparation and safety information can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eea.coop\/prepare-outage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.eea.coop\/prepare-outage<\/a>. Turn off any electrical equipment and appliance that is not needed, especially sensitive electronics, Empire Electric said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Accomplishing equipment maintenance and upgrades in a timely manner helps EEA provide reliable and safe electric service to homes and businesses.
