{"id":46556,"date":"2021-05-25T21:37:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T21:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/farmington-woman-faces-15-years-in-prison-for-possession-of-methamphetamine\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T09:32:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:32:11","slug":"farmington-woman-faces-15-years-in-prison-for-possession-of-methamphetamine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/farmington-woman-faces-15-years-in-prison-for-possession-of-methamphetamine\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmington woman faces 15 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=128787ad-3319-5157-b8e5-3ba8545f7917&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" alt=\"Blotter lights\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Blotter lights<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>FARMINGTON \u2013 A Farmington woman has been arrested and charged on suspicion of being in possession of 50 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>Mariah Jones, 30, was arraigned in federal court May 20  on a three-count charge, including intent to distribute methamphetamine, using and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug-trafficking crime and being a felon in possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>Jones was indicted April 23 by a federal grand jury and will remain in custody pending trial.<\/p>\n<p>According to a news release sent by the Department of Justice as well as court documents, Jones was in possession of 50 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm Feb. 24, 2020.
