Cliff Spencer, superintendent of Mesa Verde National Park, will speak to to the Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, on Zoom.<\/p>\n

Spencer will speak about operational changes at Mesa Verde. Some changes are temporary, driven by construction projects, while others are permanent.<\/p>\n

Spencer\u2019s duties also included park service management responsibilities for the Yucca House National Monument in Colorado, and Aztec Ruins National Monument and Chaco Culture National Historical Park.<\/p>\n

His 30-year career with the National Park Service has included assignments in nine parks as a law enforcement ranger, firefighter, medic and high-angle rescuer. He holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in recreation administration from California State University, Northridge.<\/p>\n
