(Patrick Armijo\/Durango Herald)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Patrick Armijo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>The convenience store\/gas station at Hesperus has reopened with new owners 2\u00bd years after the beginning of an extended remodel.<\/p>\n<p>Carolann Parsons, who co-owns Hesperus Station with her daughter-in-law, Sheridan Parsons, said they plan to add offerings at the store\/gas station to include diesel fuel, take-and-bake pizzas and calzones, and they are working to get a liquor license.<\/p>\n<p>Next summer, they plan to add a Jeep rental service, beginning with just a few Jeeps, then adding vehicles as demand dictates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe opened on April 23, slowly, gradually,\u201d Carolann Parsons said. \u201cNow, almost every day we\u2019re adding new products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The store will feature locally made products, and so far, the store\u2019s best sellers are cinnamon rolls and breakfast burritos made by Sherrie\u2019s Homebaked Goods of Kline.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=1ec687e9-9e78-54b5-97e1-f4b1e1eadf19&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" alt=\"In addition to chips, candy, snacks and other convenience store items, Carolann Parsons says Hesperus Station, the convenience store\/gas station she owns with her daughter-in-law, will gradually add local products.
