A juvenile reported missing June 11 has been found safe, according to the Cortez Police Department Facebook post Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cSydney Ski Mutte has been found safe and sound is currently with family and friends in Arizona,\u201d states the Facebook post. \u201cWe want to thank everyone for all the support and overwhelming shares of this post. It\u2019s definitely great news.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was located in Durango on June 30, and had previously been spotted in Cortez June 14.<\/p>\n

Durango Chief Deputy Brice Current said she was located along the Animas River. He said the case is still under investigation, and no further details were available.<\/p>\n

Mutte was reported missing from her home in Many Farms, Arizona, on June 11, according to a missing person\u2019s report posted June 28 on the Cortez Police Department\u2019s Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Assistant Police Chief Andy Brock of Cortez reported that people looking for her notified Cortez Police Officer Karla Jones that Mutte had been located in Durango and is safe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for all of the assistance in trying to locate her,\u201c Ross said.<\/p>\n

She is back home in Arizona.<\/p>\n

Cortez police assisted officers in Chinle, Arizona, with the investigation into the missing juvenile.<\/p>\n

On June 14, Mutte was seen in Cortez at Denny Lake Park, on the east side of town. She possibly was with a male. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black T-shirt, blue jeans with holes and black tennis shoes.<\/p>\n

Cortez Police Assistant Chief Andy Brock said an officer believed he had seen her at the Cortez skate park in Parque de Vida before she was reported missing.<\/p>\n
