The PEBC Teacher of Record program is an alternative way for people who have experience working with children to earn their teaching license, while being a salaried and benefited employee of a school.<\/p>\n

Teachers of Record are supported by PEBC mentors and coaches as they serve as the sole teacher in the classroom. Teachers are supported with professional development, one-on-one coaching and resources for an additional five years.<\/p>\n

Graduates of the PEBC Teacher Residency program are retained in the teaching profession at an average rate of 86% percent after five years. This compares to an average national retention rate of 55% for teachers in their first five years of their career<\/p>\n
