Fenceline\u2019s Understory Elderberry was also awarded the bronze medal in the Fruit Cider Category.<\/p>\n<p>Fenceline received four awards at the Great Lakes competition, with Windfall winning gold in the Heritage Cider \u2013 Sweet category. Three silver medals were awarded for the Seedling (Modern Cider \u2013Dry), Tom Putt (Traditional Cider \u2013 Dry) and Spur Bearer (Ros\u00e9 Cider).<\/p>\n<p>Fenceline\u2019s Windfall Cider is a French-style cider, made with French bittersweet apples grown in Cedaredge, Colorado. The juice is fermented slowly and aged up to one year in French oak casks.<\/p>\n<p>Fenceline\u2019s Tom Putt Cider is a single varietal cider and crafted from an apple that is one of the first to ripen and notoriously difficult to grow \u2013 the Tom Putt.
