Goodman, 28, was arrested Sept. 16 and cited by Cortez Police on suspicion of speeding 25-39 mph over the speed limit, driving without a license, reckless driving, vehicular eluding and illegally leaving the scene of an accident, according to Montezuma County Sheriff Steve Nowlin.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, where he posted a $500 bail and was released, Nowlin said.<\/p>\n<p>Goodman was allegedly involved in a vehicle crash in Cortez, then left the scene, according to the incident report and Nowlin. The exact location was not immediately available. There were no reported injuries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the incident report, just after noon Sept. 16 a sheriff deputy observed a gray Ram pickup truck driving erratically at an excessive rate of speed and passing illegally while traveling eastbound on Empire Street.<\/p>\n<p>A sheriff\u2019s deputy and members of the Cortez Police Department pursued the suspect, who at one point allegedly sped up and reached speeds in excess of 80 mph, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect\u2019s vehicle turned south on Colorado Highway 145, then turned west on Main Street in Cortez. It then made a U-turn and traveled eastbound on U.S. Highway 160.<\/p>\n<p>Cortez police called off the pursuit at the city boundary and the sheriff\u2019s deputy also turned off his emergency lights.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was pulled over in the 38700 block of U.S. 160 east of Mancos by the Colorado State Patrol and the Mancos Marshall\u2019s Office with a sheriff\u2019s deputy providing assistance.
