The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado was approved by the Colorado Economic Development Commission to sponsor business applications to the State for Rural Jump-Start program, which incentivizes new businesses to start in or move into rural, economically distressed areas and hire new employees.<\/p>\n

Businesses located in Montezuma, Dolores, Archuleta and San Juan counties are eligible for relief incentives provided by the program, a Region 9 news release said.<\/p>\n

Cold Case, an Archuleta County-based company, has already received benefits from the program, including relief from state income, sales and property taxes.<\/p>\n
