Mancos poet and writer Lisa C. Taylor has been awarded a Colorado Creative Corps American Rescue Plan grant by the Colorado Creative Industries and National Endowment for the Arts.<\/p>\n
The grant will fund the development of a program she\u2019s calling \u201cWriting for Resilience.\u201d The program will be executed in partnership with the Creative District, and the Mancos Library and its youth director, Jenni Kitchen.<\/p>\n
\u201cWriting for Resilience\u201d will offer Mancos teens the opportunity to write and perform their poetry and work with area artists to create poetry broadsides.<\/p>\n
Taylor and Kitchen will also offer after school poetry brainstorming and writing sessions every Tuesday at 4:30 from Jan. 25 to May.<\/p>\n
