Colorado\u2019s mobile COVID-19 vaccination bus will be in Cortez, Dolores, Dove Creek, Durango and Bayfield this week.<\/p>\n

According to Mobile Vax<\/a>, free vaccines will be available:<\/p>\n

Jan. 19 in Durango at the public library parking lot on East 3rd Avenue and East 20th Street from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m.Jan. 20 in Cortez at the Pinon Project, 210 E. Main St. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/div>\n
Jan. 21 in Dolores at Joe Rowell Park, 18005 Colorado Highway 145, from 9 a.m. to noon.Jan. 21 in Dove Creek at the Old Sun Dial, 315 U.S. Highway 491, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.Jan. 22 in Bayfield at the Upper Pine River Fire administration building, 515 Sower Drive, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/div>\n

The mobile vaccination service is part of the state\u2019s effort to provide convenient, free vaccinations. Gov. Jared Polis announced the launch of the Western Slope service in April 2021.<\/p>\n\n

Appointments are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. Photo ID and insurance are not required. Recipients will receive a proof of vaccination card.<\/p>\n

Because of storage and handling constraints, the mobile vaccine bus will offer a limited number of vaccines each day on each mobile unit.<\/p>\n

Users a you have a preference to receive a certain vaccine, or are between the ages of 5-17, it is highly recommend reserving an appointment slot in advance of your visit. Walk up doses will be available on a case by case basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease keep in mind all approved COVID-19 vaccines are equally effective at preventing serious illness,\u201d states the mobile vaccination website. \u201cNo town is too big or too small for us to serve.\u201d<\/p>\n
