The Ignacio High School baseball team squared off with Dove Creek on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The game was close, but Dove Creek managed to score a 9-7 victory to get into the win column.<\/p>\n

Dove Creek is now 1-1 while Ignacio moved to 0-2 after the loss.<\/p>\n

The Bobcats, however, will have another chance Saturday when the team visits Nucla.<\/p>\n

The game will be Nucla\u2019s season opener.<\/p>\n

Ignacio\u2019s next contest after that won\u2019t be until April 2, when the team hosts Custer County for a doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Dove Creek, meanwhile, will next play March 25-26, when the team heads to New Mexico to play Tahatchi and Rehoboth Christian.<\/p>\n
