The Cortez Pepperjax on Saturday beat the Farmington Panthers 7-6, putting the 12-and-under team at 3-2 on the season in the Farmington Amateur Baseball Congress league.<\/p>\n

With the victory, starting pitcher Chase York is now undefeated from the mound at 3-0.<\/p>\n

The Pepperjax are in seventh place among the division\u2019s 20 teams.<\/p>\n

Landon Ward, Lucas Monarco, Kendrick McPherson and Malachi Padilla had clutch hits with the game on the line, head coach Jason Hernandez told The Journal<\/em> in an email. Art Lein relieved York on the mound in the fifth inning and struck out three Panthers to get the save.<\/p>\n
