(Courtesy Nicholaus Sandner)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Courtesy Nicholaus Sandner<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The performing arts have always been a part of her family.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Montezuma-Cortez High School graduate Savannah Story will continue her love of theater at the collegiate level, with a scholarship to attend Oklahoma City University to be a part of the School of Theater.<\/p>\n<p>Story capped her time at M-CHS with a stellar performance as the title character in the theater department\u2019s production of \u201cMary Poppins.\u201d  Under the guidance of drama teacher Nicholaus Sandner, Story and the M-CHS theater department made a triumphant return to live performance, entertaining the community with lighthearted performances, as well as intense dramas over the duration of her high school acting career.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=c48e66d4-d470-5300-a3b2-c0e6892c73ef&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" alt=\"Savannah Story signs a letter of intent to attend Oklahoma City University and participate in the school\u2019s theater department.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Savannah Story signs a letter of intent to attend Oklahoma City University and participate in the school\u2019s theater department.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Courtesy photo Elsie Walck<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Story\u2019s pursuit of collegiate acting follows in the footsteps of her older sister Liv Story, who just wrapped up her collegiate degree from OCU.<\/p>\n<p>The M-CHS graduate carried an honor roll distinction to go along with her theatrical prowess, and enjoyed success in both the scripted and unscripted components of her career.
