The town is providing irrigation water and space at no cost under a one-year lease agreement to be reviewed for renewal annually.<\/p>\n<p>Harvests from the garden be distributed to residents in Dolores and surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>Garden construction will be June 11-18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will involve building the garden beds, fencing, mixing soil, planting and setting up irrigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is an opportunity for people to come out and learn about gardening in our climate, and how to best set up a garden at their home,\u201d said Amber Lansing, project coordinator for the Dolores Family Project.<\/p>\n<p>During the build there will be instruction about the best plants, soil health, and garden maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The public is invited to observe and learn or to volunteer for the build, Lansing said.
