Results have been released on the Dolores Mountain Quilters show, held Aug. 19-20.<\/p>\n

The group holds a biennial quilt show at the Dolores Community Center. This year, 125 quilts on display, and 756 people attended the show.<\/p>\n

Attendees cast votes for their favorite quilts in different categories, and 412 ballots were filled out, said Judith Swain, a member of the quilt show publicity committee.<\/p>\n

The Best of Show quilt went to Jenifer Ibscher for her creation titled \u201cPiecemakers Time and Seasons 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the show, the quilters club designs, pieces and quilts a bed-size quilt for raffle. This year\u2019s raffle quilt titled \u201cBlue Bird\u2019s Bounty\u201d was won by Barbara Zeutzius of Mancos.<\/p>\n

Funds from the raffle and admission fees are distributed to five local charities. This year $3,000 was raised. The charities chosen for the donations will be decided in December.<\/p>\n

The quilting group also donates dozens of quilts each year to families, children, veterans and those in needs.<\/p>\n
