(Courtesy of Suzanne Howard)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Feat of Clay in Aztec served as the hub Oct. 8-9, for the annual Aztec Studio Walk, an open house offered by local artists and artisans.<\/p>\n<p>Jewelry maker and an event organizer Pip Howard said on Monday that the turnout was lower than some years \u2013 \u201cless than what I would have liked \u2026 but we did have great music \u2013 violins on Saturday and drumming on Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eighty to 100 people visited her home to enjoy unique art, music and the autumn weather.<\/p>\n<p>The violin duet of Erica Photiades and Catherine Cunningham, San Juan Symphony members from Albuquerque, performed in Howard\u2019s front-yard venue on historic Church Street at 2 p.m. Sam Bell\u2019s \u201cPaint and Sip\u201d followed at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>At that venue, Marty Goetzinger showed her paintings, and Travis Rowe, his custom cutting boards and woodwork. The pottery of Suzanne Howard was also on display.<\/p>\n<p>With all locations in easy walking distance of Aztec\u2019s Main Street, patrons strolled casually to destinations on historic Church Street, Pioneer Avenue and Gordon and Maddox streets.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie Adams opened her home studio, showing her paintings and sculptures, along with the paintings and pottery of Rick Myers. Artists Steve Unger and Paloma Barons exhibited their paintings and drawings. Barons also gave a papermaking demonstration.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Gordon, event coordinator, showed his paintings, sculptures and ceramics at his home on Pioneer Avenue. Also there, was the jewelry of Lou Mancel and pottery by John Bintz.<\/p>\n<p>On Maddox Avenue, Don Hammontree offered his eclectic sculptures\/3D, along with the photography of Stacy Harris.<\/p>\n<p>At noon Sunday at Howard\u2019s place, the African drumming of local musicians, The Badland Boys and The Cowbelles, aroused the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>At Feat of Clay Gallery, Amanda Harig offered her graphic design art and paintings.
