(Courtesy photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Fifteen students from the Cortez Police Department, Din\u00e9 College, Farmington Police Department and La Plata County Sheriff\u2019s Office successfully completed the class, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FarmingtonPoliceDepartmentNM\/\" id=\"link-61c3ab87d170633a0470229726dad816\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farmington Police Facebook<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re the only agency in the Four Corners that offers bicycle certification,\u201d said Georgette Allen, public affairs director for Farmington said.  The annual course is for both sworn and non-sworn officers such as park rangers and security guards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCertification is forever, but there are refreshers,\u201d Allen said. \u201cThe purpose is to ensure safe and efficient practices while on bike patrol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sgt.
