(Kevin Bruce\/Courtesy of Wolf Creek Ski Area)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Wolf Creek Ski Area is open daily for the 2022-2023 season.<\/p>\n<p>After an early November snowstorm dropped 26 inches of snow on the mountain, including 16 inches Thursday night, the ski area was able to begin spinning its lifts Friday to kick off its season.<\/p>\n<p>The ski area had the Nova and Lynx beginner lifts running first thing in the morning and planned to open the Treasure Stoke and Bonanza lifts later in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Elma, Nova and Lynx lifts will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Everyone is considered a local.<\/p>\n<p>Uphill traffic is allowed, but only permitted during lift operating hours.<\/p>\n<p>The mountain\u2019s ski school, rentals, Treasure Sports, Pathfinder Bar and the Wolf Creek Lodge are all open.<\/p>\n<p>Wolf Creek is also taking applications for all its departments: lifts, ski school, food and beverage, base operations, retail, ticket office and more. More information is at https:\/\/bit.ly\/3NQcPux<\/p>\n<p>Arapahoe Basin was the first Colorado Ski Area to open for the season on Oct. 23. Winter Park, Keystone and Loveland are also open.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Purgatory plans to open Nov. 19<\/div>\n<p>More than a foot of snow also fell at Purgatory Resort in this week\u2019s storm. The ski area has also been making snow, after completing $1.25 million in snowmaking upgrades, to get ready for its planned opening day on Nov. 19. The ski area will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through April 9, and then weekends only until April 23.<\/p>\n<p>Hesperus Ski Area, meanwhile, plans to open for the season on Dec. 17.
