(Jim Mimiaga\/The Journal)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>The owners of the NAPA Auto Parts store in Cortez have officially opened a store in Dolores.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Daves and Jordan Owens are co-owners of both stores and third-generation Cortez store owners. Daves\u2019 grandparents originally purchased the store in 1969, and it was passed down to her parents before she and Owens purchased the store from them in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=6757c231-7daf-5cb3-ad32-bfdce2490973&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1093\" alt=\"The new NAPA Auto Parts store in Dolores is very well stocked. (Jim Mimaiga\/The Journal)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Because the store has done so well in Cortez, and because they began to realize a NAPA store was needed in Dolores, Daves and Owens began discussing building a Dolores NAPA a few years ago. After touring the building in Dolores that now houses the new NAPA, they realized it was time to go for it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe kinda felt like there was a need, there\u2019s just a lot of people over there that we felt like we could help,\u201d Daves said.<\/p>\n<p>The store had its official grand opening Oct. 31 and is fully open for business.<\/p>\n<p>NAPA \u2013 National Automotive Parts Association \u2013 is an American brand founded in 1925.
