U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert will serve as a member of the U.S. House Republican Policy Committee for the 118th Congress, making policy recommendations to Republican congressional leadership.<\/p>\n

RPC members develop legislative proposals and suggest policy solutions for Republican House leadership to prioritize. Boebert will represent the committee\u2019s designated 10th Region, which includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

In a news release, Boebert said she is honored to serve on the committee.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am committed to delivering on the conservative policies we promised the American people,\u201d Boebert said in the release. \u201cI have a unique opportunity to be a voice for four states, all of whom share Western Conservative values. Being their advocate is a responsibility that I take seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boebert was elected to the position by her fellow Republican congressional representatives. The committee, which consists of 23 House Republicans representing different regions of the country, has served as an advisory committee for the House Republican Conference since its establishment in 1949.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongresswoman Boebert will play an important role in promoting effective policies that benefit all Americans,\u201d Committee Chair Gary Palmer (AL-6) said, according to the release. \u201cHer focus on action and desire for results will be valuable assets on our team as we work to provide sound ideas for the Republican Conference to support.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, legislative initiatives promoted by the RPC have included challenging President Joe Biden\u2019s student loan forgiveness program in federal court and imposing sanctions on Russian oil and natural gas imports following Vladimir Putin\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to working with all the Members of the Republican Policy Committee and our colleagues to deliver real solutions,\u201d Boebert said in the release.<\/p>\n
