Mesa Verde National Park is seeking the public\u2019s help in an investigation of a white construction trailer suspected stolen from the park last weekend.<\/p>\n

Park rangers are investigating an alleged theft of a white utility trailer taken near the entrance to the park on Nov. 26 about 3:25 a.m., according to a news release.<\/p>\n

The white 20-foot double axle pull-behind trailer displays Colorado license plate DSI238. It was carrying two Honda generators and other equipment valued at more than $40,000.<\/p>\n

The missing equipment was owned by a contracting company clearing hazardous rocks from the main park roadway.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result of this theft, road work will take longer than anticipated and increase traffic delays on the road coming into and out of the park,\u201d the news release states.<\/p>\n

A security camera<\/a> at the park entrance shows a black pickup truck entering the park at 2:48 a.m. A black pickup truck is then recorded on the video leaving the park with a white trailer at 3:25 a.m.<\/p>\n

The park asks anyone who has information about the suspected theft to submit a tip. An anonymous tip line has been set up by the National Park Services Investigative Services Branch to aid in the investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cInformation from public is very helpful to investigators. If you have information that could help find those responsible, the park asks you to please submit a tip,\u201d states the news release. \u201cYou don\u2019t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know.\u201d<\/p>\n
