San Juan Regional Medical Center and Farmington Rotary Club will host a two-day blood drive from 12:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday, March 27, and from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at San Juan Regional Medical Center\u2019s Caf\u00e9 La Ventana, on the hospital\u2019s main floor.<\/p>\n

There is a critical need for blood, and with the blood supply shortage hospitals are experiencing nationwide there has never been a better time to give, SJRMC said in a news release.<\/p>\n

The drive will accept the traditional pint of whole blood and the Power Red double donation, which takes about 15 minutes longer than a traditional donation can help twice as many patients.<\/p>\n

Donors must be at least 18 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. Appointments are required and are estimated to be about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
