(Durango Herald file)<\/span><span class=\"credit\">cca<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>FARMINGTON \u2013 San Juan College\u2019s licensed radio station KSJE-FM will be the new broadcaster for the Connie Mack World Series starting this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Connie Mack World Series has been played in Farmington since 1965, with the exception of 2020 when the World Series was canceled because of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>Local radio station KNMI-FM previously was the primary broadcaster of the baseball series, but the station made its final broadcast May 27, putting the game up for grabs.<\/p>\n<p>The Connie Mack World Series Executive Committee partnered with KSJE and will bring back the on-air broadcast team that covered the games the past two decades. Kirk Carpenter, Mark Strickland, Don Lorett and Keith Neil will broadcast from Ricketts Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a natural partnership between the Connie Mack World Series and KSJE,\u201d said Tyson Snyder, general chairman of the Connie Mack World Series committee. \u201cWe are glad that a truly community-minded radio station will continue the tradition of broadcast excellence as the World Series recovers from a COVID shutdown in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Broadcasts will be available on 90.9 FM in Farmington, 103.3 FM in Durango and at KSJE.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt KSJE, our mission is the community, and we are proud to be the new home of the Connie Mack World Series,\u201d said KSJE General Manager Scott Michlin. \u201cThe diverse programming on KSJE is only improved with the addition of Connie Mack sports broadcasts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a id=\"link-0a97c65a807643847c728fc17f185def\">Connie Mack World Series <\/a>runs July 24 through Aug. 3.
