Nearby kayakers recovered Zehm\u2019s body and took it to responders at a boat ramp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rivers are running extremely fast due to the large amount of snowpack in the mountains,\u201d said Montrose County Sheriff Gene Lillard. \u201cUse caution when recreating on the rivers and streams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/snoflo.org\/report\/flow\/colorado\/dolores-river-near-bedrock\/\" id=\"link-309116bc6d4679e0ee9613980a34c401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dolores River at Bedrock<\/a> was flowing Tuesday at 3,820 cubic feet per second \u2013 roughly 900% of normal.
