The grants can be used for classroom projects that have a positive impact on student learning, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers in rural areas can apply until Sept. 15, and recipients will be announced in late October. School districts in Montezuma County are eligible to apply, according to the Colorado Department of Education\u2019s Rural and Small Rural Designation list.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Nathan Yip Foundation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nathanyipfoundation.org\/grants\/\" id=\"link-2f59b4a6e3cff45fc7bf27ceb6296410\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>, teachers can request up to $2,500 to go toward things like classroom improvements, supplies and student outings.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Dolores Elementary received $2,950 for \u201cLego Education SPIKE Essentials for Teaching STEAM,\u201d according to the foundation.
