Kudos to all the students at Montezuma Cortez Middle School who were involved in the recent production of the musical, \u2018Footloose\u2019.<\/p>\n
I was privileged to see the matinee performance on Nov. 4 and must confess that I was blown away by all the incredible young actors, singers, and dancers.<\/p>\n
Once again, drama teacher extraordinaire Angela Gabardi, exquisite music teacher Marla Sitton, and the MCHS drama teacher directing the high school light team Nicholaus Sandner, came together as a marvelous team to put on a show totally worthy of all the standing ovations they received.<\/p>\n
Everything from the set design to the costumes was professionally done and extremely impressive for a small town middle school. They performed for a full house.<\/p>\n
Seeing so many folks from our community come out to support our students and their fantastic teachers was truly heartwarming. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more productions over the year from both the Montezuma-Cortez High School and Montezuma-Cortez Middle School.<\/p>\n
